Goodramgate Apartments - Directions:
Approaching from any of Monkgate, St Maurices Rd or Lord Mayors Walk, at the traffic lights turn towards Monk Bar (a huge limestone construction with two arches, (cant really miss it). Immediately before this (5 metres) on the right opposite Meadowcrofts Drycleaners is a small brick arched roadway entrance (adjacent to Montys Cucina, a tea shop), please note this is quite narrow, proceed through this to the small public car park to the rear, this is a short stay 10 minute free park for loadingunloading only. The meetinggreeting and key collection point, Montys Ices is opposite this entrance between the Drycleaners and Monkbar itself. Montys is open from 12am-6pm. Outside these hours please call us as we do not live on the premises.If you find the entrance too narrow, have a particularly large car, or just dont like the look of it, ignore the above and proceed through the stone archway itself, keeping straight on the main road, passing through the brick gate post pillars to the end of the road (after a total of approx 300metres) parking on the right hand side under the trees by York Minster, (nice view). If you then telephone us we will greet you, give you the keys, explain to you where our off- street long term parking is (if booked) or local public parking (if you prefer) and then escort you to the apartments which are immediately through the Monkbar entrance on the opposite side to of the street to Monkbar Chocolatiers, next door to Monkbar Modelshop, 4 Goodramgate, (green door in curved brick facade), or next to or behind Montys Cucina dending on where you are staying.Sounds a little involved, but if you are at all unsure call approx 30 minutes before arrival and we will do our best to talk you in. The sat nav postcode YO1 7LQ will on most devices take you to Monkbar as on the map.
