Lamb and Lion Inn - Directions:
The Inn is located on High Petergate, just next to the Bootham Bar inside the city walls. The Minster can be used as a good landmark by which to find the Lamb and Lion Inn. From the M1 - At junction 32, take the M18 link to A1 North. At junction 2 take the A1 North. Continue until the sign marked York A64. Travel East on the A64. Take the A1237 (York North and Thirsk). Continue for 5 miles following sign to Thirsk (A19). At the roundabout that intersects the A19, turn right (signposted York Centre A19). Continue for approximately 2 miles until you reach the city walls. At the final set of traffic lights a large stone archway can been seen, known as Bootham Bar. The Lamb and Lion Inn is located on the inside of the city walls. Please be aware that High Petergate is pedestrianised between the hours of 11am and 4pm. Please drive to the Inn first where luggage can be unloaded and your car parking permit can be collected. Please ensure parking is reserved at the time of reservation. To collect your permit you may stop either outside the Bootham Bar archway or at the other end of High Petergate, near the Minster. Our staff will then direct you to the Marygate Car Park with your permit.
