Map of National Railway Museum, Leeman Road, York, YO26 4XJ, UK York, England. Built as a streamlined locomotive in 1938, Duchess of Hamilton is one of the most powerful steam locomotives ever to run on Britain's railways. One of 33 Princess Coronation class locomotives, it regularly ran at speeds in excess of 90mph, pulling West Coast Anglo Scottish expresses. These locomotives were robust, fast and could be said to represent the last word in British steam locomotive evolution.
