What is "Quicktime VR?"

Quicktime VR images are produced by 'stitching' a series of images together seamlessly. To view the images, you require a 'plug-in' on your computer, this plug-in can be downloaded free from Apple Computer. You can view these images on a 'Windows PC' or a 'Macintosh' computer. These images 'stream' to your computer, and should begin to be visible within a few seconds of you choosing to load a page.

Why can't I see the panoramic QTVR images, or why are they playing 'sideways'

To view the images, you require a 'plug-in' on your computer, this plug-in can be downloaded free from Apple Computer. If you have not fully installed the Quicktime software, or for example have only downloaded the 'installer' but not 'run' it - then you may have these problems - see the Apple website for information regarding installing the software correctly.

What is a 'JAVA VR'

JAVA VR images are produced by 'stitching' a series of images together seamlessly. To view the images, you should not need to install any additional software or 'plug-ins' on yor computer. The images we show as 'JAVA' tend to be a lower quality than the 'QTVR' images, as we try to keep the file sizes small because you do not see any of the image until the whole file has arrived on your computer.

Why can't I see the 'JAVA' panoramic images

JAVA VR images are shown in your web browser software PROVIDED you have 'Java' enabled - see the HELP section of your web browser software for information on enabling this function.
Most up to date web browsers have this feature enabled as default, so it may have been 'switched off', or it may be that you are trying to view this site on your employers computer, where running 'JAVA' is not permitted - in this case see your boss!

How can I produce MY OWN 360 photography?
